Gig Poster 2 (Final)

I changed the title by giving it some texture and lightening it up some. Also, I painted some of the bottom right corner with black to hide the elements that were standing out.

Gig Poster 2 (Original)

Jevon: Change the treatment of the title to match the rest of the poster. I'm drawn to the lower right hand corner, maybe remove some of the distraction there, because it draws away from the information.

Lindsey: It has a punky feel. I like the texture it works well. Move the title down and give it a time.

Gig Poster (Final)

I chose to overlap the clouds, make the font in the clouds more readable by adjusting the color, and highlighting the skull in the band name to draw more attention to it.

Gig Poster (Original) and Reactions

Jevon: The text in the darker blue cloud is difficult to read. Maybe move the clouds to the left a little, or even try overlapping them. I want more attention on the band name, try putting something behind it.

Lindsay: I'd like to see color on the band name. And maybe bring the opacity down on the background. Overall, I really like it.

Final Midterm Posters (Critiqued)

Comments on Graduation Poster:
Jevon - Needs some sort of background. Brush work is excellent. The diploma gets a little lost.
Lindsay - The drop shadow is too strong. Great texture and feel.

Response: I decided to remove the drop shadow and put a transparent box around the text so it appears to have a type of background. I wanted it simple and to have a kind of t-shirt appeal, because the text already has that feeling.

Comments on Beach Poster:
Jevon - Empty at the bottom. It should be more tied in to midterms.
Lindsay: Terrific contrast. Like the texture the brushwork creates. It gives the viewer the feeling they are there and could reach out and feel the sand or the water.

Response: I put more brushwork at the bottom to create more depth and texture.
